This article provides instruction on how to use the uploader to set up instrumental parts for Choral Octavos, Vocal Solos, and Cantatas & Major Works in the My Score portal. For step-by-step uploads for all other composition types, search here.
The steps below will walk you through creating a new catalog item. For help with editing an existing item, send updates to myscore@jwpepper.com or utilize the help widget.
Instrumental parts will be grouped together with the choral upload making them available for purchase separately so the customer can purchase the exact number of choral octavos for their ensemble, here is a great example:

Please Note: Before uploading, Scores and Instrumental parts need to be saved and submitted as separate pdf files. We cannot prepare individual parts and the appropriate number of copies for distribution from a file uploads that contains all of the instrument parts are in one pdf file.
Product Information
This section of the upload interface is gathering instrumental part details for your choral/vocal composition. Our print services department will use this information to set up your score properly based on your selections.
Click 'Add Product Information', to establish product details for the instrumental parts: Publisher ID #, ISBN#, UPC# and the U.S. dollar price of the instrumental parts sold as a complete set. * This is step is required before you can add Score and parts.

The price will automatically be set at $4.95, please adjust this according to ememble size required to perform this piece. Please reference the pricing guide
After clicking the Add button, your product details will be saved and you will then be able to attach additional marketing assets.

To add marketing assets, click the upload icon to attach a file from your device. If a confirmation checkmark is not present, click the Update button or press Ctrl+F5 to refresh your web browser.
Adding Score
In this section, you will be able to attach your pdf and establish product details about the score for instrumental parts; Score Name, Page Count, Part Count, Print size, Binding and the US dollar price per single score.

*Part Name | The default part name will automatically be labelled as "Score", modify the Score name by typing in the field. | |
*Page Count | This is the number of pages in the .pdf file to be printed and bound. Including the following in the page count; front cover, Instrumental List, program notes, sheet music, marketing material and/or back cover. | |

*Choose Print Size | From the dropdown, select the paper size the sheet music will print on for Score and Parts. Please note that pdf files page size must match the select print size. | |

After clicking the Upload button, your score details and print format will be saved and a confirmation checkmark will appear to indicate the score pdf was successful added.
Edit or Remove Product information
To Edit or Remove Score information, hover over the section that needs to be updated to re-launch the form. Note that the pdf file will need to be re-submitted.
Adding Parts
In this section, you will be able to attach a single pdf and establish product details per instrumental part; Part Name, Page Count, Part Count, Print Format, and the US Dollar Price per single part.

Please note that a title page or blank pages should be added to the pdf files to achieve correct page turns or page numbering. | |

After clicking the Upload button, your part details and print formats will be saved and a confirmation checkmark will appear to indicate the part pdf was successful added.
Add multiple voicings
Add additional instrumental parts by clicking the "ADD PART " button and repeating the previous part steps. Please upload parts in score order. All parts added in this section will be sold as a complete set for the price set in the Product information section.

Please Note: Instrumental parts will be grouped in the product listing with the primary choral product. Instrumental Score & parts will sold for an additonal purchase for customers to purchase.
Finalize Submission
Once all the product components are uploaded, click on the "SUBMIT COMPOSITION" button towards the bottom of the page
A confirmation message will appear, 'Is your upload Ready?’, click 'SUBMIT' to officially upload your composition to My Score. After the product is submitted our My Score team will begin processing the upload for web presentation and finalizing the print files.
Please allow 1-2 business days for your product to be live in your profile and be searchable on jwpepper.com
If the product is not ready to be submitted click SAVE DRAFT to save the upload record in your profile. A notification will appear at the top page identifying the number of saved drafts in your profile.
Uploading FAQs
Q: How will I know when my product is ready?
- Once the product is available for purchase, it will appear in the catalog section of your the My Score portal. Live products will appear within 1-2 business day on jwpepper.com on the My Score department page, Member profiles, and in keywords search on the website.
Q: Will my music be printed in color?
- At this time music uploaded to My Score is not printed in color, this includes outside covers, graphics and text. PDFs uploaded with color will automatically be converted to grayscale for both Print-On-Demand and ePrint orders. If you have additional questions please email myscore@jwpepper.com
Q: Why are parts are not listed individually?
- Instrumental parts for choral works are sold as a complete set and not individually listed for purchases of a single copy. Only Band and Orchestra sets show the complete listing of parts and allow purchases of a single part.
Q: How will instrumental parts appear in J.W. Pepper search results?
- The appearance in search results is determined by the primary product details (Target Use, Style, Grade) established by the choral products. Instrumental parts will not appear in the band or orchestra search results as they are considered accompaniment to the choral music.
