All of the following options can be selected on step 3 of the uploader titled "Instrumentation." Page sizes selected in My Score should match the size your composition was exported from your notation software.
Selecting a larger page size for printing will cause distortion for print ratios or pixelation when printed.
Printed Sizes
The "Printed size" option of the interface gathers details about your composition. Our print services department will use this information to set up your score and parts properly based on your selections.
- 7.25" x 10.25" - Can be used for choral octavos
- 8.5” x 11” (Letter and Landscape) - Can be used for vocal scores and parts
- 9” x 12” (Standard and Standard Landscape) - Preferred for parts; can be used on scores with 20 or fewer instruments
- 8.5” x 14” (Legal) - For scores with 20 or fewer instruments
- 11” x 17” (Tabloid) - For large ensembles such as concert band, big band, orchestra, etc.
Please Note: Choral Octavos, Score, and Part pdfs need to be appropriately sized in your notation software prior to uploading the file. Selecting the wrong size from the dropdown will result in distorted images when printed.
Printed Binding
Below are some sample images of what our binding looks like for print products.
Printed Page Layout
The "Printed Page Layout" option of the interface allows the user to select the manner in which the pages of the music are turned.
Below are the options that are available at this time and a diagram that depicts the difference between "Booklet" and "Spread."
(Note: Spread will only allow for up to 4 page parts. Any parts that are longer than 4 pages must be formatted as a booklet at this time).
Price Per Item and # of Copies
The "Price per item" option is to dictate the costs of your parts and scores separate from the full set. This option will still appear even if you choose not to sell your parts separately and must be completed to finish the upload process.
The "# of Copies" will dictate the amount of copies of the score and each part that are included in the full set. This is where users must determine part counts for their sets and input the number of parts that are meant to come with the initial purchase of a set.
Any further questions about formatting can be submitted via email to myscore@jwpepper.com or you can visit our "How Can I Contact You?" support article for more options.
